How Much Can You Actually Earn Creating a Token? (Real Numbers)

5 min read

Most people on THRYX trade $0.20 at a time. That is enough to test the platform, but it is not enough to earn real money. Here is the math on what actually happens when trades get bigger — and why graduation changes everything.

The Fee Math: What You Earn Per Trade

Every trade on THRYX has a 0.5% fee. As the token creator, you get 70% of that fee. Here is what that looks like at different trade sizes:

Trade SizeTotal Fee (0.5%)Your Cut (70%)Your Earnings in USD
$0.20$0.001$0.0007Less than a tenth of a cent
$1$0.005$0.0035A third of a cent
$5$0.025$0.0175Almost 2 cents
$10$0.05$0.0353.5 cents
$50$0.25$0.17517.5 cents
$100$0.50$0.3535 cents

One $5 trade earns you more than twenty-five $0.20 trades. The fee math is linear, but the effort to get one person to trade $5 is much less than convincing 25 people to trade $0.20 each.

Real Example: BOB Token

BOB is one of the most-traded tokens on THRYX right now. Here are the real on-chain numbers:

Now imagine if BOB had the same number of trades but at $5 each instead of $0.20. The creator would have earned $2.50 instead of $0.10. Same token, same community, 25x the earnings — just from bigger trades.

The Graduation Multiplier

Here is where the math gets interesting. A token graduates to Uniswap V4 when its bonding curve accumulates about 250 million THRYX — roughly $53 worth of total trading volume at current prices. That is not $53 in fees. That is $53 in total buys.

Think about what it takes to get there:

Average Trade SizeTrades Needed to GraduateCreator Earnings to Graduation
$0.20~265 trades$0.19
$1~53 trades$0.19
$5~11 trades$0.19
$10~6 trades$0.19
$50~2 trades$0.19

Read that column on the right. Creator earnings to graduation are roughly the same regardless of trade size — about $0.19 (0.35% of $53). The difference is how fast you get there. At $0.20 per trade, you need 265 trades. At $10 per trade, you need 6. At $50, you need 2.

Graduation is not about earning fees on the bonding curve. Graduation is about what happens AFTER.

What Happens When Your Token Graduates

When a token graduates, three things happen simultaneously:

  1. Supply shock: 8% of the total token supply is burned permanently. Less supply, same demand = price pressure upward.
  2. Real liquidity: The bonding curve funds seed a Uniswap V4 pool with locked liquidity. Your token now has a real market.
  3. Discovery: Your token appears on DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, 1inch, Paraswap, and every major DEX aggregator. Thousands of traders who have never heard of THRYX can now find and trade your token.

After graduation, trading volume typically multiplies because of the exposure. And you still earn 70% of fees on every trade that happens through THRYX. But now your token is also trading on Uniswap V4 with real DEX aggregator volume.

The Real Play: Push to Graduation

Here is the calculation most creators miss. A $10 buy on a token that is at 80% graduation progress does two things: it earns you 3.5 cents in immediate fees AND it pushes the token closer to an event that unlocks permanent liquidity, burns supply, and exposes the token to the entire Base DeFi ecosystem.

The 3.5 cents is not the point. The graduation is the point.

Four tokens have graduated on THRYX so far. The first was SENTIENT. Every token that graduates proves the full lifecycle works — creation, bonding curve, graduation, Uniswap V4 listing. The path is real.

Earnings After Graduation: The Long Game

Before graduation, your token lives on a bonding curve inside THRYX. After graduation, it lives on Uniswap V4 — one of the most liquid DEX platforms on Base. The difference:

The 70% creator fee continues on all trades routed through THRYX post-graduation. And the Uniswap V4 pool generates its own LP fees from external volume.

What This Means For You

If you are a creator: your job is not to get 500 people to trade $0.20. Your job is to get 5-10 people to trade $5-10. That gets your token to graduation faster, which unlocks the real earning potential.

If you are a trader: buying $5-10 worth of a token at 70%+ graduation progress is not just a trade — it is a bet on a mechanical event. When that token graduates, supply burns, liquidity locks, and the token hits every chart site on Base. That is a fundamentally different risk profile than buying a random token at 2% progress.

If you are a community builder: share the graduation progress bar, not just the token link. "We are at 85% graduation — $8 more in buys and this token lists on Uniswap V4 permanently" is a much more compelling call to action than "buy my token."

The Numbers Do Not Lie

At $0.20 average trades, reaching graduation takes 265 trades and earns the creator less than a quarter. At $10 average trades, it takes 6 trades. Same destination, 44x fewer trades. The math favors conviction over volume.

Create a token. Build a community around it. Push for graduation. That is how you earn real money on THRYX — not from the fees on the way up, but from the liquidity event at the top.
